Ministerial Decree No. 253 on keeping the state water register.

This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities of keeping the state water register that represents systematic code of documented data related to waterbodies pertaining to federal, regional and municipal property, owned by legal and natural persons, and also on management of waterbodies, river basins and basin districts. In the register shall be recorded water use contracts, decisions on concession of waterbodies in use, transfer of rights and duties related to water use contracts, and also cessation of water use contracts. Federal Water Resources Agency shall be in charge of keeping the state water register. The state water register shall be composed of the following sections: (a) waterbodies and water resources; (b) water use; and (c) infrastructure on waterbodies.
