Ministerial Decree No. 273 regarding calculation of damage caused to forest by the infringement of forest legislation.

This Ministerial Decree validates the rates of compensation for the damage caused by the infringement of forest legislation to forest trees, shrubbery and liana authorized for timber extraction (Annex 1), the rates of compensation for the damage caused by the infringement of forest legislation to protected forest trees and shrubbery (Annex 2) and the modalities of calculation of the aforesaid rates (Annex 3). The modalities of calculation of rates include the direct damage caused by the infringement of forest legislation and loss of profit. In case of the destruction of trees, shrubbery and liana by effluent wastewater, chemicals, radioactive, toxic and hazardous substances, forest fires and arson the damage shall be calculated with the consideration of soil improvement and shall include the cost of fire extinguishing.
