Ministerial Decree No. 370 validating the Regulation on the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The Ministry of Natural Resources shall be the authorized state institution carrying out the functions in the sphere of study, management, reproduction of natural resources, including subsoil, forestry, waterbodies, waterworks (except for navigation waterworks), management of wildlife species and natural habitats thereof (except for hunting species) and protected areas (except for ecological supervision thereof). The Ministry shall have plenary powers in the following fields: (a) assessment of mineral deposits and licensing of subsoil management; (b) forest management, forest inventory, forest registration, regional timber extraction and forest sanitary regulation; (c) registration of waterworks; (d) management of protected areas, wildlife species, and licensing thereof; and (e) maximum emission limits and hazardous environmental impact.
