Abstract
The Government decrees to validate the Regulation. This document establishes the modalities of organization and carrying out of catch (harvest) of water biodiversity of inland freshwater basins, inland sea, territorial sea, continental shelf and EEZ of the Russian Federation for scientific research, control and fish-breeding purposes. Catch (harvest) of water biodiversity (except for species inserted into Federal Red Book and regional Red Books of the protected species) for scientific research, control and fish-breeding purposes is carried out for the purpose of study and control over the state and distribution of these resources, search for new fishing areas and fish stock, valuation of total allowable catch, elaboration and realization of measures for preservation, rational use, reproduction and acclimatisation of the aforesaid resources, study of influence over them of the environmental and anthropogenetic factors. Catch (harvest) of water biodiversity for scientific research, control and fish-breeding purposes is carried out on the basis of a yearly research plan of water biodiversity and state monitoring of water biodiversity, research programs and quotas for release of fry of marketable fish into natural reservoirs and storage ponds.
