Ministerial Decree No. 728 on artisanal and sport hunting in the Russian Federation.

The present Ministerial Decree entitles all the citizens of the Russian Federation to hunt in compliance with the regulations in force. The hunting authorization is granted only to authorized persons, either holders of hunting card released by state hunting commissions or holders of membership hunting card released by hunting associations. Hunting is authorized only for holders of a gun licence. The local administrations are recommended to grant to hunting associations for long-term use, i.e. a period of not less than 25 years, plots of land hunting sites.
