Ministerial Decree No. 918 implementing the Law on the protection of selection achievements.

In accordance with the Law on the protection of selection achievements the Government decrees to validate the Regulation on royalties for issuing patents for selection achievements and the List of plant species which use as planting material for the period of 2 years is not considered a violation of patent law. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food, in accordance with other federal executive bodies concerned, must provide for the prevention of spreading of plant variety and breeds of animal stock that have not passed state testing and industrial verification. The List of plant species contains cereals, grains and rice.
