Order No. 53 of the Federal Fisheries Committee regarding validation of the Regulation on the modalities of inspection of the efficiency of fish protective facilities and superintendence over fish destruction at waterworks.

This Regulation establishes the tasks and the duties of the control and observation ichthyological posts of the water basin institutions of the fish protection service of the Federal Fisheries Committee and their cooperation with the territorial branches of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The Regulation establishes the modalities of carrying out ichthyological research at waterworks that are either not equipped with fish protective facilities or equipped with faulty fish protective facilities, and includes the methodology of calculation of the amount of fish caught into waterworks and the modalities of calculation of damage to fish resources caused by operation of waterworks. The Regulation consists of 6 Chapters and contains 2 Annexes. Chapter 1 lays down the general provisions. Chapter 2 regards the functioning of the control and observation ichthyological posts. Chapter 3 establishes the methodology of calculation of the amount of fish caught into waterworks. Chapter 4 establishes the methodology of estimates of the total amount of fish caught into waterworks. Chapter 5 concerns determination of the efficiency of fish protective facilities. Chapter 6 deals with the modalities of calculation of damage to fish resources caused by operation of waterworks.
