Regional Decree No. 964-P validating Regional State Program “Development of agro-industrial complex, fishing industry and regulation of markets of agricultural commodities, raw materials and foodstuffs for the period of 2014-2021”.

Regional State Program “Development of agro-industrial complex, fishing industry and regulation of markets of agricultural commodities, raw materials and foodstuffs for the period of 2014-2021” is a regional policy document with the scope of ensuring the sustainable development of the agro-industrial complex, fisheries, trade and rural areas, as well as food security and epizootic well-being on the regional territory. The Program shall pursue the following objectives: (a) conservation and sustainable development of reindeer ranching; (b) complex development and improvement of animal products and products of their processing; (c) increasing the competitiveness of domestic crop production in the internal domestic market; (d) conservation and further promotion of fisheries; (e) development of a food supply system that guarantees the availability of quality food on the food market in the required volume and range; (f) sustainable development of rural areas and improvement of living conditions of the rural population; and (g) ensuring epizootic well-being on the regional territory. Expected results: (a) increasing the efficiency and profitability of agro-industrial production; (b) ensuring safety of agricultural commodities; (c) introduction of new processing technologies; (d) ensuring regional food security; (e) reduction of the incidence of animal diseases, including particularly dangerous quarantine diseases, which pose a threat to public health and economic losses from animal diseases; and (f) mitigating the effects of seasonal outbreaks of infectious diseases with natural foci.
