Regional Governor’s Decree No. 209 validating the Regulation on authorized types of hunting and parameters of hunting.

This Regional Governor’s Decree validates the types of authorized hunting and parameters of hunting on the hunting grounds located on the regional territory. The following types of hunting shall be authorized on the regional territory: (a) commercial hunting; (b) amateur and sport hunting; (c) hunting for the purpose of research and educational activities; (d) hunting to regulate the number of hunting resources (game); (e) hunting for acclimatization, resettlement and hybridization of hunting resources (game); and (f) hunting for the purpose of keeping and breeding hunting resources (game) in semi-free conditions or artificially created habitat. In addition, in Uvatsky district shall be authorized traditional hunting by indigenous peoples and persons, not belonging to indigenous peoples, but permanently residing in their traditional territory, for whom hunting is subsistence hunting. It establishes authorized hunting periods and authorized hunting methods, including hunting with hunting dogs. It also imposes hunting restrictions and lists prohibited hunting gear and prohibited hunting methods.
