Abstract
The scope of the Regional State Program "Environmental protection and ensuring environmental safety in the region" is to improve the environmental situation in the region.
Program objectives: (a) reducing the negative impact on the environment; (b) conservation of biological and landscape diversity; and (c) formation of ecological culture of the population.
Environmental protection measures: (a) development of a regional environmental monitoring system; (b) reducing emissions of pollutants into the air; (c) improving the system of environmental supervision and regulation; (d) preventing negative impacts on the environment from adjacent territories; (e) development of a network of protected natural areas of regional significance; (f) conservation of rare and endangered species of animals and plants, their habitats; (g) environmental education of the population and involvement in environmental protection activities; and (h) protection of protected natural areas of regional significance and wildlife.
One of the basic principles of the activities of state authorities and local governments is responsibility for ensuring a favorable environment and environmental safety in the respective territories.
