Abstract
This Act grants regulation-making powers to the Minister for purposes of protecting eggs of seabirds, prohibits the unlawful possession of such eggs, provides for measures of enforcement and for regulation of export quotas for birds’ eggs. Regulations made by the Minister may provide for penalties in relation with prescribed offences. Measures of enforcement include the seizure of fishing tackle. The Minister shall allocate production quotas for the production of eggs of seabirds destined for exportation.
