Abstract
This Regulation lays down detailed provisions on the management, transport and disposal of urban waste. It aims at protecting public health and the environment against damages caused by waste production. Waste prevention and reduction of harzadous waste is among the main principles of the Regulation. Article 4 provides for the classification of waste. Further the Regulation defines the functions of the State Enterprise for Public Services («Azienda Autonoma di Stato per i Servizi Pubblici» - A.A.S.S.) which shall be in charge of waste management services.
