Abstract
This Decree, implementing articles 1 and 2 of the Nature Protection Ordinance 1954, establishes various areas belonging to the National Domain as nature reserves, for the protection and preservation of the natural resources of Suriname. The Decree provides for maintaining existing property rights and allows the possibility of having exploration activities for utilising natural resources carried out in the nature reserves.
