Abstract
This Ministerial Regulation prescribes rules and procedures in conducting petroleum exploration, production and conservation operations.
The Regulation specifies the information that the concessionaire shall provide to the Director-General before commencing petroleum explorations in any specific area. Furthermore, the concessionaire shall take all necessary steps to prevent damage to the Crown Property, including: to control the flow and prevent the escape or waste of petroleum; and employ measures to prevent the escape of petroleum, salt water, drilling mud or other pollutants into natural underground water sources.
