Notification of the Ministry of Public Health (No. 308) B.E. 2550 (2007) Regarding Infant Food and Food of Follow up Formula for Infants and Young Children.

Abstract
The purpose of this Notification is to promote infant and children having useful nutrient from breast milk feeding and to comply with International Code of Marketing of Breast Milk Substitutes.
Shall be repealed wording in (a) of 11.2.10 of Clause 11 of the Notification of the Ministry of Public Health No. 157 B.E. 2537 (1994), Re : Infant Food and Food of Follow up Formula for Infants and Young Children and replaced with the following : “(a) The words "Important Notice" - Breastfeeding is the most superior for infant because of complete nutrition value; - Modified milk for infant should be used on the advice of a doctor, nurse or nutritionist; - Inappropriate preparation may harm infants. In this regard, displaying of these three statements shall be in consecutive order and be in the same box, color of letters contrast with background’s color of box; only the first statement shall be displayed in bold, visible letters”.
