Abstract
This Act empowers the Minister to establish markets and to specify the type of goods which may be sold therein. The Act also provides rules relative to the functioning of such markets.
The management and control of Government markets shall be the responsibility of appointed Market Authorities. The Minister may make Regulations for the purposes specified in this Act including the examination of produce or articles of food and the duties and conduct of managers and inspectors appointed for the purpose of this Act.
