Implementing Regulation on the protection of animals.

This Regulation lays down rules as regards: (i) the conditions for adopting pets, measures to prevent harm and discomfort that adopted animals may cause to humans and the environment, the duties and responsibilities of pet sales points and the principles regarding the training to be given to those who sell pets, (ii) measures to be taken to prevent the collection, rehabilitation, sheltering in animal shelters, adoption of stray animals and the negative effects that these animals may have on human, animal and environmental health, (iii) the duties and responsibilities of the Provincial Branch Directorate, local administration, private animal shelter, responsible veterinarian and animal owner, (iv) the procedures and principles regarding the use of animals in all kinds of commercial shows, advertisements and similar films and photo shoots, (v) the procedures and principles regarding the euthanasia of animals in accordance with legal exceptions and medical and scientific justifications, (vi) the working procedures and principles of provincial animal protection boards, (vii) the procedures and principles regarding the supervision of the implementation of the provisions of the Animal Protection Law No. 5199 and the qualifications of the inspection personnel, (viii) protection of animals and the procedures and principles regarding the use of the funds allocated to the Ministry’s budget to support activities for the control of stray animal populations, (ix) the procedures and principles regarding the application of administrative fines specified in Law No. 5199, and (x) the procedures and principles regarding the practices regarding animals that pose a danger as determined by the Ministry.
