Abstract
This Law sets forth the rules and procedures of the selection of national parks, natural monuments, nature parks, and nature reserve areas. The Law also sets forth the rules and procedures on the management, protection and development of these areas. It is consisted of 8 Chapters: Purpose and definition (I); Selection, planning and nationalization (II); Granting of permissions (III); Duties (IV); Protection (V); National Park Fund (VI); Penalties (VII); Final provisions (VIII). The Law defines the duties and responsibilities of each ministry and the Council of Ministers concerning the designation and nationalization of National Parks. It outlines the duties and responsibilities of the Ministry of Forests and Water concerning the management and protection of national parks and granting permissions. The Law further covers rules to the protect the ecosystem and wildlife and to prevent soil, water or air pollution and prohibits construction of any building or facility as well as the production of forest products, pasturage and hunting that might harm the ecosystem and or biological diversity.
