Abstract
This Notification lays down the principles and procedures governing the designation of nitrate vulnerable zones; the preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of the Nitrate Action Plan; and the environmentally friendly agricultural practices containing the rules to be followed for the prevention of nitrate pollution in waters arising from agricultural activities. The Nitrate Action Plan shall include the measures determined by the Ministry on the basis of environmentally friendly agricultural practices and set out in Annex 7. Article 7 requires the implementation of the measures specified in the Nitrate Action Plan in nitrate vulnerable zones.
