Notification on import control of wastes kept under control for the protection of the environment (Product Safety and Inspection: 2026/3).

This Notification sets out the procedures and principles governing the conformity control, for environmental protection purposes, of the wastes listed in Annex-1 that are intended to enter the customs territory of Türkiye, including free zones. It also identifies the categories of waste prohibited from entering the customs territory of Türkiye. Annex-2/A and Annex-2/B specify the wastes whose entry into the customs territory of Türkiye, including free zones, is prohibited.
The wastes listed in Annex-1 must be free from explosive materials and radioactive substances and must not be contaminated by hazardous wastes, import-prohibited wastes, or any hazardous substances. Importers are required to comply with the provisions of this Notification. Any breach thereof shall be subject to the sanctions prescribed under the applicable environmental, foreign trade, and customs legislation.
