Notification on import inspection over chemicals kept under control for the protection of the environment (Product safety and inspection: 2013/6).

This Notification lays down the procedures and principles of the conformity control of the chemicals and products listed in Annex-1 and Annex-2 in terms of the protection of the environment. This Notification determines rules regarding the authorization of the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for import; conformity control and documentation, such as Ozone-Depleting Substance Tracking System (OTIM) control certificate and hydrofluorocarbon control certificate; and the registration of importers of chemicals for services or production. Annex-1 sets out the list of ozone-depleting substances, and Annex-2 sets out the list of hydrofluorocarbons and mixtures containing hydrofluorocarbons, which are kept under control for the protection of the environment.
