Notification on the import inspection over chemicals kept under control for the protection of the environment (Product safety and inspection: 2024/6).

This Notification lays down the procedures and principles of the conformity control of the chemical substances listed in Annex-1 and Annex-2 in terms of the protection of the environment. It determines rules regarding the import of ozone depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases of which are prohibited or subject to control; the import permit obtained from the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change; conformity control and documentation for import, such as Ozone-Depleting Substance Tracking System (OTIM) control certificate and hydrofluorocarbon control certificate; and the registration of importers of chemicals for services or production. Annex-1 sets out the list of ozone-depleting substances, and Annex-2 sets out the list of hydrofluorocarbons and mixtures containing hydrofluorocarbons, which are kept under control for the protection of the environment.
