Notification No. 2017/48 on supporting self-irrigation systems within the scope of rural development.

This Notification aims at (i) extending the use of modern pressurized irrigation systems by producers, (ii) providing production with better quality and suitable for market demand, and (iii) raising the level of income in rural areas. This Notification shall apply to determined self-irrigation systems between 1 January 2018 and 31 December 2020. This Notification sets forth the duties and responsibilities of the General Directorate, Provincial Directorate and District Directorate under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock. The areas of investment are as follows: a) drip irrigation system, b) springer irrigation system, c) micro springer irrigation system, d) linear system, and e) solar powered irrigation system. Furthermore this Notification sets forth provisions on application and evaluation procedures.
