Notification No. 2023/40 on the implementation of compensation support for plant quarantine.

The main objectives of this Notification are: (I) to increase plant production and sustainability, (II) to raise awareness among producers and the public about harmful organisms and their control, (III) to enable producers to conduct control measures themselves, and (IV) to provide financial support to producers operating in contaminated areas where quarantine measures are taken. This Notification lays down provisions on the requirements to be entitled to financial support; the amount of payment according to producers' losses due to Plum pox virus and Anoplophora chinensis; procedures and principles of application and evaluation; inspection by the Ministry; recovery of unfair payments; sanctions; and financing and payment procedures.
