Presidential Decree No. 8859 on supports for plant production and other agricultural supports to be provided in the years 2025-2027.

This Decree lays down supports for plant production and other agricultural supports to be provided during 2025-2027 for the purposes of: (i) ensuring the sustainability of agricultural production and food supply security, (ii) contributing to production planning, (iii) increasing yield and quality, (iv) adopting environmental approaches in agricultural production, and (v) strengthening the implementation of agricultural policies. The supports for the development of agricultural production cover the use of nationally certified seeds and saplings; organic agriculture; good agricultural practices; and the use of solid organic-organomineral fertilizer. The scope of other supports also include planned production; the use of biological and/or biotechnological control agents in plant production; production of alternative crops or fallowing in the prohibited cultivation areas due to potato wart disease; the use of licensed warehouse; agricultural extension; rural development; and agricultural research and development.
