Abstract
Within the scope of this Decree, the products and risks to be covered are laid down in Article 1, such as: hail risk for plant and mushroom production along with storm, tornado, fire, landslide, earthquake, flood and inundation and land, air and sea vehicle collision risks; wild boar and deer damage in field crops, vegetables and strawberry; rain damage causing quantity loss in cotton products during harvest period; mortality risk for registered cattle, sheep and goats and poultry raised in facilities in compliance with biosecurity and hygiene requirements; fish diseases in aquaculture and mariculture facilities; and risks of bird damage in sunflower products. The additional products and risks to be covered upon application are, as follows: (i) frost risk for fruits, Damask rose and artichokes grown in open areas; (ii) hail, snow, storm, tornado, fire, earthquake, landslide, flood and inundation risks for products under hail net and cover support systems; (iii) risk of heavy rain for cherry, fig and grapes; (iv) frost damage to be paid as replanting cost for sugar beet, squash, tomato, pepper, eggplant, watermelon, melon and potato; and (v) risk of hot weather damage for lemon, tangerine, orange and grapes.
