Abstract
This Regulation makes amendments in the principal Regulation concerning the identification of bovine animals with unique identification number and inserts the definition of identified animals which carry unique identification number and unidentified animals which are not previously identified or whose identification number cannot be determined. In cases where the same unique identification number of an animal cannot be declared, the animal owner must provide a commitment letter specified in Annex 3. In such instances, animals are considered unidentified and administrative fines are imposed on the animal owner according to Article 36(e) of the Law No. 5996. In case animals which are unidentified and captured during transportation, administrative fine set out in Article 36(f) of the Law No. 5996 is applied. The animals are then identified with a new ear tag containing the new identification number. Furthermore, this Regulation amends Article 73(2) regarding the implementation of the procedures laid down in the Regulation on fight against infectious animal diseases for the unidentified animals in protected areas designated by the Ministry. This Regulation also amends Annex 3 of the principal Regulation as laid down in the Annex of this Regulation.
