Abstract
This Regulation aims to protect public and animal health, reduce the risks and maintain food security. The Regulation sets forth the principles and procedures on identification, classification, collection, transportation, storage, processing, disposal, import, export and transport of animal by-products not intended for human consumption. The Regulation further covers provisions on institutions and enterprises associated with any process listed above and rules of hygiene to be followed by these institutions and enterprises.

Entry into force notes
Clause. 1 of Article. 8 of the Regulation enters into force on January 2016, Article. 19 on the day the Regulation is published in the Official Journal and all other provisions of this Regulation enter into force on 13 June 2013.
Notes
The provisions of this Regulation are governed by the Minister of Food Agriculture and Livestock.
