Abstract
This Decree Law sets forth the principles and procedures of the establishment, duties, powers and responsibilities and regulates the organizational structure of the Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock. The Decree Law states that the Ministry has duties and responsibilities such as certification, inspection, capacity building and data collection in the field of agricultural development, agricultural land development, animal husbandry, pastoral farming, rural development, water management, plant production, fisheries, food safety and security, biodiversity conservation and environmental protection. The Ministry develops agricultural policies, supervises the implementation of those policies and controls. It further manages agricultural support policies and agricultural markets.
