Abstract
The objective of this regulation is to define the rules and principles of hunting activities, by considering the preservation of natural habitat. Hunting tourism certificate is granted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to travel agencies, to enable them to organize hunting tours. Foreign individuals who wish to hunt in Turkey through a travel agent or individually are obliged to obtain a provisional hunting certificate. This certificate is valid until the beginning of the next fiscal year following the date of issuance. Procedures are given in the regulation. Provisional hunting certificate for foreign head of states, prime ministers and ministers are granted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Considerations from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism are required prior to such invitations. National individuals who wish to hunt through a travel agent or individually are also obliged to obtain a provisional hunting certificate. Foreigner Hunting Certificate is granted to foreigners, including diplomats, who reside in Turkey. All certificates are subject to a fee. Hunting principles for all concerned are detailed in the regulation. Foreign hunters are allowed to bring in and take out their own hunting equipment. Hunting quotas are specified each year separately for national and foreign hunters by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
