Abstract
The main objective of this Regulation is to reduce environmental damage caused by ship and cargo operations at coastal facilities and promote energy efficiency initiatives. The provisions of this Regulation shall apply to coastal facilities that hold a Port Facility Security Certificate under the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code and those seeking to obtain a Green Port Certificate. This Regulation lays down provisions on the certification of coastal facilities that meet the general green port criteria in Annex-4; obligations and rights of certified coastal facilities; green port inspections in certified coastal facilities; and the suspension and cancellation of certificate in the cases mentioned in Article 11. The Administration provides the necessary coordination within the scope of developing, supporting and disseminating projects for energy efficiency, emission reduction, environmental and occupational health and safety in order to make coastal facilities more environmentally friendly and sustainable facilities.
