Abstract
This Regulation sets forth implementation procedures of Law No. 1734 dated 29 May 1973.
Animal feed is classified in detail. Public and private agencies are obliged to notify the ingredients of produced feed to the Ministry of Agriculture. Production of feed mainly produced from materials of animal origin, and mineral feeds, feed preparations and mixed feeds are subject to licensing by the Ministry of Agriculture prior to production. Licensing procedures are defined in detail and a list of feeds that are subject to declaration and a list of materials that are prohibited to be used for mixed feeds are given. Licensed facilities will be inspected twice a year by the Ministry of Agriculture. Technical requirements of production facilities are listed in details by feed categories. Those who wish to import animal feed shall obtain written consent from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Minimum sample requirements for laboratory examinations as well as laboratory examination procedures are given in details. Marketing and sales premises are subject to license and minimum requirements of these locations are defined in details. When deemed necessary wholesale and retail prices of feeds will be determined by the Ministry of Agriculture.
