Abstract
The objective of this Law which includes 22 articles in 6 section is to define the principles of feed preparation, production, importation, exportation and sales. Public and private agencies are obliged to notify the ingredients of the produced feed to the Ministry of Agriculture. Feed that would be subject to registration will determined by the Ministry of Agriculture. Registration procedure will be indicated in the Regulation. Production of feeds whose main materials are of animal origin, mineral feeds, feed preparations and mixed feeds are subject to license by the Ministry of Agriculture prior to production. Licensed facilities will be inspected twice a year by the Ministry. When necessary, wholesale and retail prices of feeds will be determined by the Ministry of Agriculture, by obtaining considerations of related Ministries. Importation and exportation of the feeds are subject to consent of the Ministry of Agriculture, by obtaining considerations of related Ministries. The Law indicates procedure for physical, chemical and biological examination of feeds. Feed storage and sales facilities are also subject to license by the Ministry of Agriculture. "Feed Registration and Control Department" will be established under the Ministry of Agriculture to accomplish the services covered by this Law. Feeds transiting in Turkey are not subject to this Law.
