Abstract
The aim of this Regulation is to fight against Newcastle disease. The Regulation sets forth the rules and procedures of precautions to be taken against the disease and the rules of confirmation of the disease in case of suspicion. Chapter 2 emphasises on precautionary measures, biosafety and notification of the disease as well as precautions to be taken against the spread of the disease in case of confirmation. The Regulation further lays down provisions concerning epidemiological research and vaccination. Regulation This Regulation has been drafted in accordance with the European Council Directive 92/66/EEC of 14 July 1992 introducing Community measures for the control of Newcastle disease.
