Abstract
This Regulation implements corresponding provisions of the Law on the Institution of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry. It defines the functions of the Supreme Environment Board. The Board is chaired by the Minister of Environment and Forestry. Its main tasks include the following: defining environmental principles; taking the measures for the protection of the environment; monitoring their implementation; assessing projects pertaining to prevention of the environmental pollution, rehabilitating and developing the environment, ensuring energy productivity; ensuring coordination among the ministries and related agencies on environmental protection; and taking decisions on environmental training. The Board shall meet at least once a year, and also hold extraordinary meetings when necessary. Details are given in the Regulation.
