Regulation on the working procedures and principles of the Biosafety Council and Committees.

This Regulation sets forth provisions on the establishment of the Biosafety Council and the committees to evaluate the applications related to the release of GMO and its products for food, feed and processing purposes, the release of GMO and its products for experimental purposes and the use of GMM in laboratories and to carry out other functions within the scope of this Regulation. The Council establishes a new committee for each application. Information exchange related to biosafety data shall be carried out by the General Directorate of Agricultural Research. The applicants are obliged to submit risk assessment and socio-economic assessment.
