Abstract
This Regulation lays down specifications for food additives, including colours and sweeteners, which are listed in Annexes II and III of the Turkish Food Codex Regulation on food additives. Annex 2 of this Regulation sets out specifications for food additives that are listed in the Annex 1 of this Regulation. This Regulation provides rules for sampling and analysis methods in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Food Codex Regulation, administrative penalties in accordance with the provisions of the Law No. 5996, and transitional provisions for food businesses operating before the publication of this Regulation, as well as, before the publication of its amendment dated 14 December 2023. This Regulation has been drafted in line with the Commission Regulation (EU) No 231/2012 of 9 March 2012 laying down specifications for food additives listed in Annexes II and III to Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 of the European Parliament and of the Council.

This Regulation enters into force on the day it is published in the Official Gazette.
