Abstract
These Regulations introduce rules and standards applicable to the picking and processing of and trade in cashew nuts.
The rules also concern the exportation of cashew nuts. Nuts collected and dried in accordance with these Regulations shall be graded by each grower taking into account prescribed standards. The Cashew Board of Tanzania shall advertise the buying season and every buyer of cashew nuts shall register with the Board. The Regulations set out procedures for the buying and for the processing of cashew nuts. Cashew nut processors shall register with the Board and obtain a licence. Processing units shall grade cashew nuts according to internationally accepted standards. Some provisions concern specifically rules relative to exportation of cashew nuts.
