Abstract
This Act establishes the Tanzania Cashewnut Marketing Board as a body corporate, defines its functions and powers and contains some provisions relative to marketing of cashewnuts and kernels.
The Act consist of 35 sections divided into 6 Parts.
The Tanzania Cashewnut Marketing Board, established under section 3, shall regulate the marketing of cashewnuts and kernels produced from cashewnuts and may also carry out the business of marketing of cashewnuts. The Minister of Agriculture may give directions to the Board regarding the functions of the Board or the exercise of its powers. Only persons designated by the Board or the Board itself may export cashewnuts (sect. 8). The Board may issue, pursuant to section 9, Orders requiring producers to place cashewnuts on the market in the manner as specified in the Order.

An Act to repeal the Cashewnut Industry Act, 1973, to establish the Tanzania Cashewnut Marketing Board, to regulate marketing of cashewnuts and kernels and for matters connected generally with cashewnut marketing.
