Abstract
Regulations to make provision for the growing and marketing of cotton. The 30 regulations are divided into 8 Parts: Cotton Cultivation (I); Grading (II); Buying of Cotton (III); Ginning and Baling (IV); Centralised Lint Selling For Export (V); Export Permit (VI); Levy on Cotton Lint for Export (VII); (without title) (VIII).
Part I provides, inter alia, for: reservation of cotton seed (regs. 2(2) and 4), disposal of seed for planting (reg. 5), insecticides (reg. 6), pests and diseases (reg. 7). Part III provides for the grading of cotton seed and offences. Part III provides for cotton buying licences and sets out conditions to be observed by cotton buyers. Part V prescribes licences for the ginning and baling of cotton.
