Abstract
Regulations to make provision for the cultivation, grading, buying, ginning and baling, and exportation of cotton. They also impose a levy for resaerch funding and a levy on cotton lint and cotton seeds. No grower shall grow cotton except from dressed cotton seed approved in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations. Cotton seeds for planting shall be sold by seed cotton dealers. The Commissioner of Agriculture may declare cotton quarantine areas and may order burning and uprooting of cotton plants or cotton. Cotton shall be graded before sale by cotton growers. The Cotton Board may determine which grades of seed cotton may be sold or bought in any specified area during a specified period. The mixing of various grades is prohibited. Seed cotton shall be sold only at cotton buying posts. No person shall buy cotton except if he is the holder of a seed cotton buying licence. Cotton buyers shall observe certain conditions when buying cotton. The Commissioner or the Cotton Inspector shall carry out control of such activities. The Schedule contains various forms.
