Order No. 324 of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy validating the Regulation on the public fishing inspectors.

Public control in the sphere of conservation, reproduction of living aquatic resources and fisheries regulation shall be carried out by the public fishing inspectors with their consent. The public fishing inspectors shall be appointed by the authorized fisheries institution and its territorial branches. The Ukrainian nationals that have attained full legal age (18 years) can be appointed the public fishing inspectors. Each public fishing inspector shall be posted under authority of the state fishing inspector or the state authorized fisheries institution and its territorial bodies. The public fishing inspectors have the following rights: 1) to take part together with the state fishing inspectors in the inspection of the observance of fisheries legislation and regulations by the managers of living aquatic resources; 2) to draw reports or take part in drawing reports regarding offences in the sphere of fisheries; 3) to conduct the infringer to the local police station or executive body of the local self-government for identification; 4) inspect fishing licence and fishing authorization, and also catch and fishing gear; 5) to explain fisheries regulations to citizens. The public fishing inspectors have the following duties: 1) to observe the legislation currently in force in the process of carrying out inspection; 2) to carry out properly the official functions; 3) to send official report to the superior fisheries institution official report containing data regarding carried out activity and arrangements by 1 January of the following year.
