Government Decision on agricultural extension (No. 13-CP).

The Decision aims at establishing a national network of extension in the agricultural sector (i.e. agriculture, forestry, fishery). The extension programme is to be developed for each ecological zone by the relevant authorities at the central and provincial levels. According to the provisions of article 3, agricultural extension shall consist of the following activities: (a) dissemination of information; (b) strengthening of skills and knowledge for economic management among farmers; (c) improvement of production and economic results. Financial measures established by the present Decision covers the allocation of funds for the agricultural extension, the granting and utilisation of credits by banks or other credit organizations, and the source, form and interest rates for loans. Remaining provisions deal with administrative aspects of extension and funding. (11 articles)
