Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 2010: Listing Notice 3: List of activities and competent authorities identified in terms of sections 24(2) and 24D (No. R. 546 of 2010).

This Notice of the Minister of Water and Environmental Affairs identifies activities that require authorization prior to commencement in specified geographical areas only. It also identifies competent authorities for purposes of sections 24(2) and 24D of the National Environmental Management Act. Investigation, assessment and communication of potential impact of activities must follow the procedure as described in regulations 21 to 25 of the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations. Activities include construction in protected areas, including estuaries and critical biodiversity areas, in the field of water supply and in coastal zones.
