Abstract
The Act (182 sections, 1 Schedule) contains provisions on central control (Chap. I); Control and use of private and public water (Chap. II); Groundwater (Chap. III); Atmospheric precipitation (Chap. III-A); Water courts (Chap. IV); Government (water) works (Chap. V); Irrigation boards (Chap. VI); Water boards (Chap. VII); Servitudes (Chap. VIII); Irrigation loans, liabilities and subsidies (Chap. IX); Water sport control areas (Chap. IX bis); General and miscellaneous provisions (Chap. X). The Schedule contains amendments and repeals.

An Act to consolidate and amend the laws relating to the control, conservation and use of water for domestic, agricultural, urban and industrial purposes; to make provision for the control, in certain respects, of the use of sea water for certain purposes; for the control of certain activities on or in water in certain areas; for the control of activities which may alter the natural occurence of certain types of athmospheric precipitation; for the control, in certain respects, of the establishment or extension of townships in certain areas; and for matters incidental.
