Abstract
This Law hereby regulates the management of municipal wastewaters, by setting the minimum conditions to be met in various phases of collection and discharge of wastewaters (also technical issues for private and public collector systems and treatment plants for municipal and industrial waste water), further defining several related the rules (all related to waste water from households and/or mixture of water with industrial wastewaters and/or atmospheric waste water).
As industrial deriving/originating wastewaters here is to consider the waste deriving from milk processing, fruit and vegetable production, production and bottling of non-alcoholic beverages, potato processing, meat industry, production of alcohol and alcoholic beverages, animal feed production, production of gelatin and lace made from fur, leather and bone processing sites, and fish processing industry.
This Law also adopts the rules contained in the following documents: Directive 91/271/EEC related to the purification of municipal waste water, last amended by Council Directive amending Council Directives 91/271/EEC and 1999/74/EC and Directives 2000/60/EC, 2006/25/EC and 2011/24/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council; Commission Decision 2014/431/EU on reporting forms for implementation of national programmes contained in the Council Directive 91/271/EEC.
This Law is divided into 37 articles, containing the offences and consequential penalties.
