Abstract
The objective of this Law is the promotion of organic production. It establishes the legal framework relating to the production, processing, transport, certification and inspection of agricultural and food products that are produced, processed and imported or traded as organic products. The State Commission of Organic Production is the highest authority for approving and supervising the implementation of these provisions. The Law consists of seven Chapters: (I) General Provisions; (II) Organization and functioning of the responsible authorities; (III) Certification and temporary permissions; (IV) Conditions of organic production and processing; (V) Labelling of organic products; (VI) Administrative offences,; (VIII) Final provisions. Annexes concerning the principles of organic production, fertilizers and soil cleaners, minimum requirements for inspection and preliminary inspection measures are attached.
