Presidential Decree No. 116/14 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA).

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Energy and Water (MINEA). This Statute, consisting of four Chapters and two Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to propose the formulation, to lead, execute and control the policy of the Executive in the areas of energy and water, which is responsible, among other duties, to propose and promote the implementation of the policy on energy and water. In addition, this Ministry establishes strategies, promotes and coordinates the recovery and the rational use of energy and water resources, ensuring the sustainable development in the framework of the general planning of economic and social development of the country.
