Abstract
The Forestry Seeds Act defines at the outset its scope of application. Article 2 contains a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as "seeds", "materials", "origin", etc. Thereafter it deals with issues such as authorized seeds, marketing of seeds, import licences and control, exportation to third countries and related matters. The Act consists of 49 articles divided into 7 Parts.
Article 2 of the above-mentioned Act introduces some amendments to the Fertilizers Act (BGBl. No. 513/1994; article 3 to the Animal Feed Act 1999 (BGBl.I No. 139/1999; article 4 to the Plant Protection Act (BGBl. No. 532/1995); article 5 to the Plant Protection Products Act (BGBl. I No. 60/1997); article 6 to the Planting Material Act 1997 (BGBl. No. 73/1997); article 7 to the Vine Plants Act (BGBl. No. 418/1996); article 8 to the Seeds Act (BGBl. No. 72/1997); article 9 to the Plant Variety Act (BGBl. No. 109/2001); article 10 to the Wine Act 1999 (BGBl. No. 141/1999).
