Abstract
An Act to prevent the introduction of harmful organisms into plants and plant products. The definition of a "protected area" in the European Union is set out in article 4. Part 3 governs the introduction of plants affected by one of the harmful organisms as set out in Annex 2 into member countries. Import from and export to third countries are treated, respectively, in Part 4 and 5. Finally, Part 6 prescribes the penalties in case of violation, and other provisions.
